My name is Charles Jordan and I'm serving a 7 yrs. to life sentence for murder. I've been incarcerated since 1973 when I was 19 years old. I received the same sentence as the 2 other plaintiffs of the trial even though the actual killer was never identified.
We lifers sometime have a sense of guilt that weighs heavily and in an effort to make some restitution and give something back to society we look for a meaningful activity, even though it doesn't impact the victim.
While discussing this with another Lifer who had donated bone marrow he suggested that I write a proposal that would enable Lifers to donate their organs upon their death or even liver tissue or bone marrow now that could save a life. You can read my proposal on the next page.
If you think this is a good idea and would like to join me in advocating for this project I encourage you to write the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, 1515 S St. #101n,Sacramento, CA 95811
Words of encouragement for me would also be much appreciated. My address is Charles Jordan, Mule Creek State Prison, P. O. Box 409060. Ione, CA 95640 or email me through my friend at firstname.lastname@example.org and put L4L in the subject line..
